I already had the large version of this, which has a nice soft-rubber seal. When I bought this smaller model it came with a hard plastic lid. I held the lid on and tried shaking the lemonade I had in there, what a shocker when it leaked out and poured all over the counter and floor. My wife told me it has a little hole in the top, so I looked and it does! I found out it is not a water tight seal, I should have known better. What a piece of junk. I’ve been trying to find a water tight replacement for this thing on the internet, but no luck so far. Poor French engineering.

bought two of these. they were incredibly poorly packed. one arrived broken. the replacement will never ship because they are permanently out of stock. they do not offer cash refunds.

the pitcher , as it is, is nice, with its leaky lid.

  3. Not possible to find these pitchers locally. Glad to find them online. Reasonably priced, packaged well, and shipped promptly. I bought 2.

This would be perfect except for the inferior, cheap plastic lid. It is difficult to remove the lid when the pitcher needs to be refilled or cleaned. And worse, you cannot pour without a second stream running all over the counter, your hand, everything.

Looks nice, washes well in the dishwasher, nice compact size in fridge and nice heft to it. But, for me, the lid makes it a total dud.

Fantastic jug with a crappy plastic pop in lid> This would be great if it had a better lid but as it is I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone needing to seal anything for storage. If you don’t need a lid then this is fantastic.
